Meet the Anaheim Team Behind Ellery ADU Studio Anaheim
We’re the crew that shows up to your property in Anaheim, pulls the permits, and stays until the inspector signs off. Every person on this page has worked ADUs here long enough to know which plans examiner will flag a 4-foot side setback on a corner lot in the Platinum Triangle and which one won’t. What unites us is simple: we don’t hand off your project to a subcontractor you’ve never met. The person who measures your garage slab is the same person who reviews the as-builts before final.
Our People
Nadia Ellery, Owner
I started Ellery ADU Studio in 2015 after watching a homeowner in Anaheim Hills spend eleven months and $8,000 on architectural drawings that couldn’t be permitted because the designer never checked the utility easement. That still happens. I run site walks personally on complex jobs, and I review every written estimate before it goes out. Haven Standard Clause 1 exists because I got tired of explaining to people why their “rough estimate” doubled. I keep a running list of which prefab manufacturers are actually delivering on their lead times - Abodu and Cover have been reliable lately; Boxabl fluctuates. When I’m not on a job site, I’m usually answering the phone. We don’t use voicemail queues. If you call at 10 PM because your contractor just walked off the job, you’ll get a live person. It might be me.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with us since 2019, which in ADU years means he’s seen the 2020 California HCD code update, the 2022 fire sprinkler clarification, and the 2024 Anaheim-specific parking waiver changes. He holds a C-36 Plumbing license and handles our utility tie-ins personally, including the sewer lateral inspections that trip up most garage conversions in the Anaheim Colony Historic District. Marcus is the one who notices when a foundation plan calls for a 12-inch stem wall on soil that tested at 1,500 psf - he’ll flag it before the concrete truck arrives. He also brews terrible coffee and insists we all drink it. We’ve learned to bring our own.
Sofia R., Senior Installer
Sofia came up through residential framing and joined us in 2021 after running her own small remodeling crew in Fullerton. She specializes in the structural transitions that make or break a garage conversion: lowering a slab, raising a ceiling, or sistering rafters to meet the new energy code. She’s certified in James Hardie siding installation and handles our weatherization details on prefab ADU set jobs, particularly the Mighty Buildings and Dvele units where the panel joints need precise sealing. Sofia keeps a photo log on her phone of every job she’s worked - not for the client record, though those go in too, but because she doesn’t trust her memory for fastener patterns. She’ll show you the album unprompted if you ask about shear walls.
Danny K., Service Coordinator
Danny is the person who calls you three days before the concrete pour to confirm access, then calls again the morning of when the pump truck is stuck on the 91. He’s been with us since 2020 and knows the permit routing at Anaheim City Hall well enough to know which counter opens at 7:30 AM and which plans examiner prefers digital markups over paper. Danny tracks our documentation - permit sets, photo records, inspection sign-offs - and he’s the one who makes sure your written warranty and final as-builts reach you within five days of CO. He also coaches youth soccer in West Anaheim and has been known to schedule site walks around tournament weekends. We plan around it.
Jin P., Apprentice
Jin joined us in 2024 after completing the construction technology program at Cypress College. He’s working toward his B-General license and currently shadows Marcus on utility rough-ins and Sofia on framing inspections. Jin’s specialty so far is site documentation - he’s faster with the photo record protocol than anyone we’ve trained, and he actually labels the files by room and date instead of dumping them in a folder called “pics.” He lives in Anaheim near the Packing District and has strong opinions about which taqueria deserves the crew’s lunch business. We’re still debating it.
One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this page works under the same contract terms, whether we’re designing a 1,200-square-foot detached ADU in Anaheim Hills or converting a garage in the Platinum Triangle. Haven Standard Clause 1 means you get a written price before any work starts - not a range, not a “we’ll see.” Clause 5 locks the scope at signing. The photo record Jin shoots, the permit set Danny tracks, the inspection Marcus passes - all of it feeds into the same documentation package you receive at closeout. And the 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to every crew member’s work. If the finished ADU doesn’t match the permitted drawings, we make it right. In writing, before we start. That’s not a slogan we put on the website. It’s the actual document you sign.
We’re independently owned and operated in Anaheim. We don’t franchise. We don’t hand off your project to a crew you’ve never met. The people you read about here are the people who work on your ADU.
